Little is known about the origins of the elusive, demons called Changelings, even among their own kind. They have no other world to call home besides Earth, as they have no real written history, only stories passed from parent to child. They adapted their “Changeling” moniker from human legends of stolen children taken by faeries and swapped with their own (as if the pests could accomplish such a thing). This act has become a strong tradition among their race in order to better associate their children to human culture. It is their greatest survival mechanism, but also presents the ongoing issue of balancing their new powers and persona with their human life.

Their greatest advantage is their shapeshifting abilities that allow them to masquerade as other people. Sadly, one ultimately loses themselves when they can become anyone else. Changelings are instinctual loners, rarely enjoying large groups or crowds. However, those Changelings that have taken up an occupation of spying, becoming double agents, and other covert operations can find a more than ample home with an Apocalypse Prevention, Inc. squad, along with a rather large paycheck for the occasional “solo-mission”.
